Obwohl die Leitlinien bei Brustkrebspatienten in einem frühen Stadium mit ein bis drei positiven Sentinel-Lymphknoten (Sentinel Lymph Nodes, SLN) die Erwägung einer regionalen Lymphknotenbestrahlung (Regional Node Irradiation, RNI) empfehlen, sind die Meinungen der Ärzte hierzu gespalten. Sollte bei diesen Patienten eine RNI durchgeführt werden? Welche Patienten profitieren davon? Und welchen kann die Behandlung erspart bleiben? Hinsichtlich des Ausmaßes der erforderlichen Bestrahlung gibt es zudem keine klaren Empfehlungen. Die richtige Strahlendosis ist aktuell eine subjektive Entscheidung.

The Blood Bank mode (BB mode) is an optional mode for blood product measurement and quantification of residual cells left in the manufactured blood products.
